30 THINGS TO DO BEFORE I'M 30

A couple of days ago, my friend Sodeeq and I were having our usual chit-chat and suddenly, he said to me ‘Babe, live a little...’ That statement prompted me to start to think about those things I've always wanted to do but just haven't gotten round to doing.

During my self search, I suddenly discovered I haven't really really like really done anything very fun or memorable these past years of my life (except, of course, my night out with the girls (Sasa, Leemah and Steph last year....lol. that was super memorable... *lip sealed*)... and that is funny because I consider myself a very adventurous person. I looove travelling, learning about other cultures and all so I don't know why I've been this 'boring'...

So I decided to take a break from all the 'seriousness' going on in my life right now and write down some 30 things (fun, some not-so-fun things) I'd like to do on or before I clock 30, and in my awesome graciousness, I have decided to share these things with you .... *adjusts halo* J

Laugh if you will, ‘Awwww’ if you like, Yinmu if you want,  ranju toh ba wu e...lol

Some of these things, I've done or I'm doing; but by 30, I would love to have done all these (in no particular order), by God's grace.

1. Go to the airport with no ticket someday, scan the departures screen and pick any destination and just go.
2. Take a road trip (across states of a country, I haven't decided on yet) with my girlfriends, Damola, Bunmi, Iyin, Sasa, Steph, Leemah, Tosyn and other girlfriends I might soon make.
3. A boat ride (not cruise o, ride, azzinn Lounge) on the Caribbeans mahn. So I could wake up on a boat the next morning and scream 'I woke up on a boat beeeeshes...' I'm kidding... lol
4. Learn a new language without attending a class… Try to perfect my Hausa, French and Spanish.
5. Visit at least 30 Nigerian states. And 30 countries of the world. World Traveller lomo latile ....lol :)
6. Fall in love, get married and have cute babies... nuff said *wink*
7. Buy/build my first house.
8. Go to NYC for New Year's Eve for the big Time's Square Rockin' Eve ball drop.
9. Buy a powerbike - people who really know me, know power bikes have got e v e r y thing on me...yeah, I know I'm a girl, duhhh
10. Learn How to Fish
11. Sky dive - It seems like the ultimate thrill. so, yeah, I'm very willing to try that... I would have added 'surfing' but.... it is well :)
12. Climb something- I climbed the Erin-Ijesa water falls hills in October 2013 with my Zoe friends, and Sobi hill too...:) it was very stressful and tiring but fun and I think I want to do that again sometime, at a more exotic place this time...maybe not quite Everest, but the Sydney Harbour Bridge would suffice or maybe the Mayan Ruins in Belize...hehe... I should be able to attempt one of the world’s Seven Summits sef... *clears throat*
13. Go to something big somewhere else - Like Burning Man, or Brazil Carnival, or Comic-Con, or Oktoberfest, or Songkran, or Rang de Holi, Disneyland (yup, that little girl in me cannot be quieted *eyelashes*), South African Safaris, something, somewhere.
14. Go back to school!- MSc, NIM, NIPR, APCON, HBS, LBS, SMBS, PRCAN, PhD,    VIP, OAP, CID, SUV, CRV.....*phewwww
15. Learn to play a musical instrument - I've been very bad at this and I know it will serve to make my song writing  and song-singing so much better, so... I can take the entire year to start to learn, right?
16. Ride a rollercoaster - I was reading about them recently and learnt: For loops, the Colossus at Thorpe Park, England is best and For speed,  they say the Kingda Ka at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey is the world's fastest and tallest roller coaster. so, whoopwhoop...lez go dia
17. Swim or Swim - I've been on this 'quest' for a very long time. My friends Phera, Omooba, Sasa, Funmi, and others have offered to coach me pro bono at one point or the other... Steph even got me this really nice swim suit but somehow, I still haven't been able to get around it (no time :( ), but this year is my year, can I hear a receiving Amen... J
18. Start my own buka....hehe trade secret
19. See the Grand Canyon and  the Louve with my parents
20. Participate in a Flash Mob - hehe
21. Attend the Oscars, Grammys and the Olympics. No matter what you say about the commercialism of these events, they are the biggest events on this planet and I'll like to experience them in first person.
22. Shake hands with the President.
23. Drive a wickedly cool car, even if I have to rent it. “Wickedly cool” is defined as any car that turns every head on every street, including mine. They say life is a journey and you should enjoy the ride. *shrugs*
24. Spend a night sleeping outside whether it’s on Miami beach, a Greek beach, or  even La Campagne Tropicana, yo! J
25. Read 1000 books.... *I'm on it*
26. Float on the Dead Sea
27. Stand on the North pole - It’s one of the only two places on Earth where you’ll be facing the same direction no matter which way you turn. And besides, I'll be on top of the world, like literally... whoooo.... I can't wait. If you know the way there abeg lemme know o... don't worry, I'll find out sef
28. Donate to a charity. Actually going to a mall to buy stuff like clothes, blankets, and food, then give it to a homeless person! Volunteer my time, effort, expertise, whatever I can, doing things to help others.
29. Buy and light fireworks... with state permission os-cof. Maybe COZA and Daystar will have mercy on me and let me help them light the fireworks at one/more of their concerts before I'm 30... 
30. Finally, I intend to figure out how to grow up and not old.                                                                          

Phewww... there you have it. Of course there would be other remarkable things in between but let's just stop at 30.

I’m 21 (I wish I could stay 21 for a very loooooong time ), and that means I have 8years and 4months more to achieve all these, if Jesus tarries.

Just before I get back to my work and make Le Cheddar for all that fun and adventure, I just wanna quickly remind you that each day of your life should be an adventure. do something different (different doesn't have to be dangerous/immoral), learn something new and experience anything life throws at you, enjoy the ride!
