LETTER TO SELF

Iyanuoluwani, I'm proud of the woman you're becoming. Spiritually, physically, financially, intellectually, dreams’ically , emotionally, psychologically, career’cally , relationships’cally … I'm oh so proud. I'm also glad you can proudly say "I'm the girl who God has helped". I do realise we don't speak to each other a lot in writing, so this is a bit awkward and so, I’ll just drive straight to the point: I often forget how pretty awesome I am. But don’t you ever forget how awesome  YOU  are. Be aware of your worth, your gifts and your strengths; constantly. You are a premium treat and you can't force everyone to have a fine taste, so even if one or two people ‘tend’ not to appreciate you, others do and you always should. Don't deny the world of your essence. Also remember you can never control what someone else does, you can only control your actions and reactions. You can be the very best, as in textbook perfect , but...

LIFE: "WHAT DO YOU WANT?"

YOU: "Errrrr...." I'm a girl, so you understand I know how difficult it is to choose. Most times when I have to choose, I don't (*lips sealed*) .  What I’m trying to say is that I know how hard it can be to figure out what exactly we want in life. All fused together.  One day, with a nudge from my uncle, I read the book 'GOALS' and everything transformed for me. I got the boost I needed and decided to focus on creating purpose in my life by setting some precise and concise goals on where my life was heading. I ...

30 THINGS TO DO BEFORE I'M 30

A couple of days ago, my friend Sodeeq and I were having our usual chit-chat and suddenly, he said to me ‘Babe, live a little...’ That statement prompted me to start to think about those things I've always wanted to do but just haven't gotten round to doing. During my self search, I suddenly discovered I haven't really really like really done anything very fun or memorable these past years of my life (except, of course, my night out with the girls (Sasa, Leemah and Steph last year....lol. that was super memorable... *lip sealed*)... and that is funny because I consider myself a very adventurous person. I looove travelling, learning about other cultures and all so I don't know why I've been this 'boring'... So I decided to take a break from all the 'seriousness' going on in my life right now and write down some 30 things (fun, some not-so-fun things) I'd like to do on or before I clock 30, and in my awesome graciousness, I have de...
